Backstreet Boys Cruise 2011
Once A Lifetime Dream
Four amazing days and I don’t know where to start so I’m going to do it in sections it will be much easier so I’m going to start off on day one.
Pre-Cruise party at Cameo
I’m not going to go into full details sadly I didn’t get to make it to the Wylee party due to complications but thanks to my friend Amanda I was able to make it to the dinner and party after my original plans got canceled and of course I’m forever grateful for Amanda. Once I arrived after a huge traffic jam going into South Beach I met up with some other fans and friend’s for dinner.
We all enjoyed some good food, laughs and we all were excited and ready for the party to start, Julie and I had to head out early due to having Meet and Greet.
The waiting took forever which is no shock to me but, eventually we got inside and looked around we were told to go to this VIP area and hang out, have drinks and whatnot, Julie and I also talked to Justin for a little while but I like said “I can’t understand anything, I can’t read people’s lips” so Justin holds his cell phone to his lips and was like does this help, I’m like yeah but told him to not tease me, ha-ha.
Julie and I had a drink and took a photo on the stripper pole after 30 minutes or so I would say it was time to go meet the Backstreet Boys and off we went.
While we waited I got to talk to Lauren very briefly and we talked bout the fitness site and I told her I want help because I’ve been trying for a few years and just can’t stay on track and then we talked bout Twitter and she said to tweet her so she can follow me then I had to get back up for the meet and greet, she did promise we would hang out on the boat but sadly it didn’t happen. While waiting for a few more minutes Leighanne saw me and we blew kisses to each other which was very sweet.
Once it was my turn I went up and Brian just stands, looks at me with his “Brian look” as I call it and I stood there and did the look back to him and then we both laughed and he went to shake my hand as I was ready to remove my hand to shake the others Brian wouldn’t let go lol! Eventually I made it to shake Nicks’ hand and he gave me this big smile that I will never forget, then I went to shake Howie’s and he said hello and smiled, lastly I got to AJ’s hand as I shook AJ’s hand he said “Hey Sweetheart, it’s good to see you again” (my heart melted) and then got ready to get my photo taken and then someone else was taking a photo of us too with her cell phone but I had no idea who it was then I told the guys thank you and I went to go wait for Julie.
Afterwards we were escorted downstairs and we ran into Lauren she smiled at us and I was confused of how to get back to main floor but eventually we figured it out and then we had to wait until our friend’s group got inside so we could go get our VIP table for the night.
We had the table closest to the VIP where the boys were which I must say wasn’t bad at all until people who had tables behind us was trying to get closer and make themselves comfortable at our table and drinking our liquor which I found to be very disrespectful. I also have to say that AJ stripping his shirt off and dancing on the pole was too funny!
I enjoyed the party it was nice to just mingle and have fun. I watched Nick DJ for the longest time and I also watched Howie for awhile. I think it’s just neat how that stuff is. Howie also danced with fans for I think like a hour or so I did end up getting lucky he took my camera and we took a photo. Later on Nick made his way down but he had a harder time I ended up getting up to dance but I couldn’t dance due to the fact that people were pushing and shoving I almost fell off a few times and Nick even looked at me because I was saying “whoa stop” Nick didn’t stay for very long and headed back up to VIP but as he was leaving I was standing there just watching him and he grabbed my hand and held it tight and looked at me and went “yeahhhhh”! LOL so I did it back ha-ha. I have no idea what that was about but I loved it I went back to my friend’s smiling. At one point I saw Brian in VIP and he was swinging like a monkey I couldn’t help but burst out laughing LOL.
Party Time Begins, All Aboard!
Today was the day that I was waiting for aside from the pre cruise party. When I arrived I got to check in right away which was awesome and eventually Julie got checked in and we were ready to go minus all the mix up and such this trip was going to be the time of my life and it was.
Once it was time get on the boat Julie and I went on up to get on the boat, we took our photo and before I knew it we were near the door so of course I had to take a photo before entering once we got inside we went to Guest Service and once that was taken care of we were ready to look around and enjoy the day.
So we headed up to Lido deck, took photo’s and looked around we also saw Brian and Leighanne and I wanted to give Leighanne a hug but they had to go eat so she said she’ll see me and smiled, Brian was taking photo’s and of course I tried to get one but he had to go eat as well but he did promise me I’ll get one later. We walked around some more and as were going to enter the buffet room from back of the boat I saw Nick and Lauren and then one of the Rose Tour’s looked at me and I knew what we had to do so we turned and left and the guy told us thanks.
We decided to get some food and sat down when we were about to eat Howie walks by and he shakes my hand, shortly later Nick and Lauren is walking by and Nick said what’s up to me and touched my shoulder and smiled, I also told Lauren hello.
After eating I just mingled around, talked with people, took photo’s and eventually I got to drop my stuff in the room. The only thing I knew was I couldn’t wait until dinner and of course I had my favorite dessert the Lava melting cake so yum!
It was time for the sail away party which ended up being a lot of fun, we all hanged out together and watched the guys being their usual ways, Brian even pretended to ski on a rail which totally had me scared I thought he was going to fall off and get hurt Brian is definitely a thrill seeker. We were listening to music, the guys were interacting with fans as much as possible it was just a great way to start off the trip into the sea when it was over Julie and I headed over to the side of the stage and we said hello to Brian and he shook my hand and give me this “look” once again ha-ha and Leighanne also said hello to us, she also took a photo of Brian with my camera, LOL!
After dinner went to go look at and buy some Backstreet Boys merchandise we did spend a good amount of time in there they had so much stuff afterwards it was time to go get ready for In It To Win It and 80’s night, this also gave me a chance to hang out with Casy since she came to join us in our room and helped me do my makeup.
In It To Win It was pretty fun to watch, very entertaining. They played two different rounds the yellow group were teamed up with AJ and Howie, the blue group was teamed with Brian and Nick. Round one yellow team won, the second round blue team won and of course I was rooting for the blue team the entire time since it was Frick and Frack after all, I also will not forget towards the end of the game Brian was acting like a monkey and got on AJ’s back and such I was laughing so hard, Brian was so funny during all this he was making jokes to his bodyguard who happened to sit next to me during the event and he kept rubbing his arm against mine, LOL.

After the games were over Brian came down and took a photo with a fan and I asked Brian if I could get one now since he did promise and he came over and took one with me then, Julie, Brian and I ended up taking a photo too which was nice I was being all squeezed in between Julie and Brian lol. I felt bad since Brian did tell fans that Julie was the last one for photo’s he ended up taking a few more I told him I wanted to talk to him about Twitter and this is our conversation.
Me- You blocked me on Twitter
Brian- No I didn’t
Me- Well I can’t tweet you
Brian- what, you can’t tweet me? (he also looked surprised)
Me- Yeah, I can’t tweet you and its driving me crazy
The conversation stopped due to fans and their photo’s so ended up just getting up to leave and head for 80’s night.
We went to Lido deck and hanged out for a few to get some drinks and hanged out with some friend’s then we headed up back to Veranda deck to get our spots.
It was awesome to see the guys come out in their Sphynkter stuff!
Brian came near us and came to say hi to a few fans.
Eventually after the guys were done on the deck they moved to the smaller stage area on Lido deck and we just moved closer to them but didn’t go into the crowds I would say after a hour or so I got a little bored watching beer pong and whatnot so everyone I was with we all decided to go have some pizza and ice cream since it was like 2am after all, when we were heading back to our room we saw Howie and Nick at the bar area doing shots and whatnot so we stood there and watched for a bit, took a few photos and when Nick and Howie were walking by fans crowded them Julie and I ended up right with the guys I was behind someone and Nick was behind me eventually we were able to get out and we headed to bed.
Time for Bahamas, What’s sleep?
With very little sleep I did get I was so ready to go and enjoy the Bahamas. The morning was rough which I won’t go into, but it all worked out in the end. We went and found the place we had to meet up for the shuttle and plus we also got coffee which was totally needed. Once everything was figured out we finally got off the boat and headed to the shuttle and I couldn’t get over how blue the water was.
The drive to the shuttle went by pretty fast we arrived at Cable Beach got our wristbands and we were escorted to the area where the party was being held. Julie and I took a few minutes and went into the water, took a few photo’s and then we hanged low for awhile, talked with people until it was time to get our spots for the event and of course our spots ended up being a great spot to have.
The boys finally came out and they walked by and shook our hands and said hello to us, when Howie came by I told him to pick me for a game and he said for a game, okay but sadly the guys weren’t picking this year boys all got onto the stage to say hello to everyone else after a few moments I would say Kevin was coming out to join in and he walked by us and said hello and shook my hand and I was so happy I was grinning ear to ear.
It was so awesome to see Kevin on stage again with the boys just something amazing to experience they all sang Safest Place To Hide. They were getting ready to play games and Nick was facing me and I was like “oh pick me pick me” so he ended up intimating me going “pick me pick me” LOL I’m like go figure that would happen but I didn’t mind it that was my moment with Nick for the day. The games they played were Musical Chairs (which I had missed due to needing the restroom), Twister, Wet T-shirt contest, Limbo, 3 Legged Race,(I didn’t get to see either due to it being on the other side of where I was)
The guys were throwing bead necklaces out and I ended up catching one from AJ, I asked Brian for one and he teased me about how he can’t throw it that far or it would hit me in the face, Nick came over to our side to throw some out and I told him I wanted one and he threw his last to me and I barely but yet caught it, during the whole day I was lucky to see the guys interact with fans and hangout.
I asked Kevin at one point if I could have a photo with him and he said sure and came right down to me, I told him thank you so much for doing this and he told me welcome and smiled I just forgot how gorgeous that man is (I haven’t seen him in person since 2005)
AJ came down called me sweetheart again and took a photo with me and I told him congratulations for getting married soon and he told me thank you, shook my hand he told us that the countdown was on and I laughed he was really friendly with us and tried to talk to us much as he could.
I also ended up getting to talk to Leighanne for a few and get a photo we talked bout Twitter and she said she will follow I just need to remind her (hopefully she didn’t forget), I also asked her bout the Just Ask event for next year and she said they want to do it, and we also talked bout the Wylee party, I apologized for missing it due to no ride and she told us they had a lot of fun and I told her I would be at her next one and she said I better be ha-ha.
Nick did promise us a photo once or twice and we never got it but of course I’m not mad I know these things happen but I did get a photo with Lauren and we talked briefly I just feel so bad for her and how fans treat her.
Before we had left to get a shuttle back to the boat I was able to get another photo with Howie which of course made me smile because he did say long time ago we could get a few on the cruise and to me he didn’t break that which of course made me smile.
I was going to go shopping for a little bit but how tired and sore I was from the beach I decided to just return to the boat and take a nice hot shower before it was time for dinner. We ended up eating at the buffet instead of going to the dining room which was fun we ate all different kinds of food and had laughs, we really did have a lot time to kill since we didn’t have anything going on until Prom night.
Before I knew it Julie and I got a new cabin so we both had to pack our stuff and I honestly never seen myself pack so fast in my life before as I was going to the new deck Jenn (Backstreet Boys manger) was asking me if I was leaving already, LOL I explained to her what was going on but it was totally awesome we ended up having a cabin on the same floor as the guys.
Casy met us at our new cabin and helped Julie get ready for prom and yet again we had many laughs and I think we all looked pretty for prom night, even though none of us were prom queens we sure did have a great time. Amanda, Tammi, Julie and I all ended up having a shot of Lemon Drop (in honor of Brian), Tammi, Amanda and I ended up getting a Bahama Mama drink which was pretty damn good.
Next thing I knew some guy was dancing on top of me giving me a lap dance I was so shocked and had no clue what I should of done because I didn’t know who he was but it was funny I couldn’t stop laughing and looking at all my friend’s face expression’s.
It was fun to see the guys all dressed up including Kevin and they performed I Still which happens to be one of my favorite songs and it made me so happy to see them perform even if it was from far away. The guys came down to the little stage and danced with their prom queens, I have to say Nick was the funniest due to the changes he kept doing while dancing I wouldn’t mind him being my date LOL. The guys also did the electric slide which is one of my favorites to do. Eventually my friend’s and I all left and went to get pizza and ice cream before bed.
The Fun Never Stops!
Here we are on day three and I honestly felt like a zombie I got very little sleep each night but I knew I had to live the day to the fullest since today was the last day on the boat and of course it was a fun day at sea and this also happened to be the busy day for me.
Morning was mostly of getting ready, eating some breakfast and getting ready some more for Meet and Greet of course I had to go back to my room to fix myself up once more I really wanted to look good for the photo, I also changed my mind bout what I wearing but I decided with help from my friend’s that the shirt I already had on was much more me.
As I waited in line once I got inside they closed the doors behind the staff of Rose Tours went to get their photo’s done with the guys and while this was happening no one was guarding the doors so some girl tried to sneak inside and I even told her “I don’t think you belong here” and she actually had the nerve to tell me if I even wanted to try and get her out of there so of course I went to a Rose Tour staff and told bout her I mean it’s not fair that you already got a photo and you’re trying to come back in to get another? As the guy escorted her out she told me off and said I had problems I’m like sure whatever and just laughed it off and the Rose tour member actually thanked me for doing so.
Once it was my turn I was ready to go then I was told by Brian’s bodyguard that I couldn’t go alone for the photo (although it was all okay by Rose Tour staff and all) Q actually told him that it was okay, I’m good to go then he shot me a smile which of course made me smile.
I walk up and Nick is the first one to greet me he says “hey sweetheart” and he gives me a hug, I right away told him that he needs to add Denver to the US tour, he replied with “Denver” thinks for a moment and said Okay I’ll see and then he got interrupted by someone then he turned back to me and I told him “you have to make it happen” he replies “I will try” with a smile. I went to hug Howie and shake his hand (we always seem to get confused of what to do) I felt a tap on my shoulder and long behold it was Brian and he went in to give me a hug and smiled at me, and not last but least I went over to AJ gave a hug and I went to stand and get my photo taken, the first photo was taken then Justin says to pose for another so I quickly asked Nick to kiss me and all I did was hear some laughs and I posed I told them all thank you as I walked away Justin told me that the photo was really cute and he liked it.
Next thing on the list was Karaoke we figured we had to kill some time we didn’t want to show up for the line too early so we ate a bit and then headed up to where we needed to be. While we were walking through Brian was up above and said “You going to Karaoke” I said yes. LOL as directed we were seated in the VIP area, got to have a few drinks. I moved closer to where the boys would be so I can read their lips when they brought the girl on to get her head shaved I was bawling half way through it, Nick even saw me crying and trying to cheer me up with a smile and of course I smiled and laughed a bit but it didn’t help I ended up bawling some more, the camera guy even taped me crying for a while.
After a few fans got chosen to sing for Karaoke it was time for Howie’s pick he said this song fit perfectly since the theme night was PJ night so then when he called out Julie’s name I was like “YES” we were able to go and sing with Backstreet Boys and let me tell you it was a amazing experience in the beginning Nick even came up to me and asked me if the Denver Bronco’s won and I told him I had no idea so he went to go ask someone else LOL. (the game was still going on I believe)
We get done and I ended up hugging Howie, and then Brian comes and gives me a hug and I told him “you’re probably getting sick of seeing me by now” he goes with a smile “No not at all” and we both laughed and Nick came over and hugged me and we started to sing Thong Song and I did warn everyone that I didn’t know the song at all especially the Karaoke version. I actually even spanked Nick’s ass when he was shaking it to the crowd (I couldn’t help it, and he was asking for it) ;) Brian even helped me sing a few words and sang with me a few times.
After we were done I ended up getting another hug from Nick and I also went to give AJ a quick hug I walked by Brian and Howie and told them thank you and went back to the VIP area. I may of not known the song or how to sing it but I had a great time it was all in fun as my friend says it, it’s Karaoke not American Idol.
After Karaoke was done we did whatever we had to do and headed to dinner with Tammi and Amanda and we stayed for awhile and chatted it up until it was time to go change and get ready for the concert and PJ night and I was going to the concert in my PJ’s it just felt so relaxing and comfortable.
I get to my seat and I seriously couldn’t wait for the concert my seat was right in front of the stairs.

I’m going to just write my memories from the concert but first let me tell you that this concert was amazing I enjoyed it so much I was into it which is why I forgot to take video’s most of the time (I only took video’s during solo songs)
I’ll never forget the eye contact I made with the guys during Siberia and AJ blew me a kiss during it as well and I blew one back.
Howie came by during a song and touched a few fans hands and he actually rubbed on my boob ha-ha. When Nick and Howie came down for Get Down I danced a little as Howie was walking by and gave me eye contact and Nick came over and put his hand under my chin *melts* During Nick’s solo he came down right in front of me and poured water on himself and got it in my friends and I face, sadly I didn’t want the concert to end but it had too.
The last theme for the trip was PJ night.
The guys came out and Nick had Ninja turtle backpack and everything, Brian had Elmo, Howie had a robe on (like Huge Heffner) and AJ had regular stripped black and gray PJ’s.
The guys ended up wanting to play truth or dare which turned the night very nasty LOL Howie was dared to hump a pillow, Brian had to do the worm, Nick had to get his butt massaged by the fans, AJ had to get tickled by fans, Nick and AJ had to get low (dance) with a fan, Brian and Howie had to spank a fan, Brian also had to crowd surf which was very interesting to watch LOL. I didn’t get to see Howie, Brian, or Nick’s dare due to the level and I couldn’t see but glad people recorded them so I could see it in the long run. They were also throwing marshmallow’s and Nick even gave some to fans with his mouth, sexy right? Rose tour member threw me one and shortly later Brian threw me one.
Towards the end Brian came down to the area and took photo's with fans and said hello and I already had my photo with him from the first day so I just wanted to tell him something so when I knew the chance was perfect I just touched his arm and told him "I just wanted to tell you thank you for everything" he takes my hand, he looks into my eyes and said "You're welcome, you're awesome" and smiled. I was on cloud 9!
After awhile I ended up getting to go into the VIP area and hanging out with Amanda and Tammi but I had to sit down because of my legs, they were hurting so bad I had a hard time walking but it was fun we took some photo’s, we had a few drinks and pizza. AJ even came down and hanged out for a while and took a photo with me, he told me to stand up but I had to explain to him and he sat down next to me on the chair, which was very nice he was so sweet. All I remember is falling asleep in the VIP area on the chair I was meaning to just rest my eyes but then Amanda made me go to bed LOL much as I would love to have stayed up longer and try to hang out with my friend’s I just wasn’t able to do it and all I remember is passing out and waking up late the next morning but I had the most amazing time ever!
