Backstreet Cruise
Day One
Let me start off by saying that I’m so glad I was able to be part of this cruise I had a amazing time minus the few bad things that had happened but as the trip went on things were getting better and thanks to everyone who made my trip to be the best ever it wouldn’t of been possible without you. I’m grateful for my times that I had with the boys and I’m thankful for the help I received.
To who all I met it was great meeting you!!! Please keep in touch!!
December 9th 2010
Today was the day to board the ship and start the adventure with the Backstreet Boys for four days! I had woke up and gotten ready and I was actually ready by 9:00am I went to go outside wanting to take some photo’s but due to the rain I wasn’t able to take many which made me a tad upset since I really wanted to go to the beach and take a few so instead I went back inside and waited for my friend Holly to text me to let me know when I could head to their hotel for our get together breakfast.
I got there about 9:15am after the taxi cab driver finally realized what hotel I meant since he did take me to the wrong one and I waited for Holly in the lobby, she met me down there about 9:30ish and we also waited for mom, aunt and cousin and we all headed to Big Pink to have some breakfast I ended up having some French toast and chocolate milk.
After breakfast Holly and her family headed to the room to finish packing up while I waited in the lobby I was just on Twitter reading everyone’s updates getting excited to be heading to the port as we were finally ready to depart from the hotel Hilton Bentley my friend ended up having a mishap and so we ended up to the port later than we had expected to be but I was just glad that my friend was okay although she had some bruises and all.
When finally got to the port I think like around 2:00pm and I feel the check in took forever the lines were hardly moving but when we finally got to where we got our sail and fun card and such we were finally ready to board the boat and let me tell you I was glad it was finally happening but of course it still felt like a dream.
Holly and I went to go try and find the area to check in for the Backstreet Boys which was so confusing but as we were walking we ran into Holly’s friend Amy and her mother and I had no idea I had lost Holly until I gotten inside the lobby to get my wristband and such when I went back to the area I couldn’t find Holly but later on the day I caught up with her later in the day.
I decided to try and find my cabin which was on Upper deck which seemed to be perfect it wasn’t far from where I always tend to go and it was very quick access to the Promenade deck but my room was set up for me which was awesome I had a TTY telephone in there in case I needed to make a phone call, I had a door bell on my door and it would make this light go off so I knew someone was at the door but anyways so shortly after my roommate met me there and we hanged out for that day or for the most part of it, we went to have a drink on the Lido deck but then we had to go get my roommate her wristband and paper’s so I took her there and afterwards we met up with Holly in her cabin and we just hanged out there for awhile.
I wanted to walk around and see the ship a little so we went back to the Lido deck as I took some photos and of course had another drink or two in between went back to the cabin and I had decorated my door before the Backstreet Feud was going to start which I almost missed :\ so I’m glad I was reminded what was going on since I did notice a lot of people were gone I couldn’t find no one anywhere lol!
While waiting until Family Feud to start I saw Leighanne by the VIP area taking photo’s with fans so I thought I would try and headed over there and she saw me and said hello and took my hand and said she would be back so I waited the Family Feud was going to start so I went to find my seat.
Shortly my roommate came and we ended up ordering drinks I had another Long Island Iced Tea and we also got a bucket of beer’s and we were ready to watch some Backstreet! Jen had called four fans to come onto the stage since the game was Backstreet Girls against Backstreet Boys I wasn’t picked :\ but as soon as the boys came onto the stage it hit me that I was seeing the boys and on a cruise it was just a amazing feeling and then I see Brian being his silly self trying to start a “fight” with the fans I couldn’t help but laugh. I forgot all the survey questions but I hope eventually I’ll remember them and the answer’s, lol.
While we were waiting for the game to start I went back to VIP to see if Leighanne would be openly to talk and maybe get a photo and once she saw me she came over right way and we talked for a little bit and I asked her for the photo and then before I knew it people were all up there waiting to get theirs done and I apologized to her for forming a crowd, I honestly felt bad.
As waiting I saw Suzanne and called her over and we talked for a while and hugged, then Prue came over and we got a photo taken and Baylee decided to get into the photo as well, after some more small talk I headed back to my seat for the game.
Next was She’s A Dream dating game and Jen had picked out three fans out of the envelope and of course I wasn’t picked like I hoped I would of loved to been up there I would of made the goofiest answer’s, ;)
The order was AJ, Brian, Howie and Nick. From where I was sitting I had a little hard time reading lips on Jenny so I couldn’t understand most of what she had said, :\
I laughed so hard and yet felt so bad for Brian when he had to ask the girls what their favorite position was.
Each guy choose their winner and the winner’s got to be serenaded by the boys on the last day of the cruise during the concert (Pretty damn awesome and lucky fans!!!) ;) but yes congratulations to all four of the girls.
Now it was time to go get ready for the cocktail party and I’m not sure what the hell happened but I’m just going to be honest I arrived on the Lido deck as everyone else had I was given a drink and I don’t remember what it was or tasted like (ha-ha) and I decided to get a spot on the top on the end where you can see the boys from a angle which turned to be fine there was a small crowd but no one was pushing or anything so I was cool.
Before I go onto the next part I do have to say yes I have anxiety attacks and I do know that the alcohol in my body wasn’t helping either but yeah so I wasn’t prepared that what had happened was going to HAPPEN.
The boys were on the deck saying their hellos and having a good time and told us they had paid for all the drinks for the party which of course everybody was cheering, I do know I turned down after my first drink I knew I had enough but one point AJ came over to say hello to everyone and at this point people were all crowded me and I was about to fall over the barricades they had out and that’s when my panic attack had started so by the time AJ came over and hugged me I told him in his ear that I can’t do this I needed out of here and the people behind me wouldn’t let me out so he looked into my eyes and told me it was going to be okay and he will get some help, as I was waiting I saw Brian up the deck and I was telling him I wasn’t doing good and he kept telling me to breathe so while I’m just trying to breathe I saw Prue and Baylee they were even trying to tell them to get Leighanne I figured she might be able to get me help at this time I thought maybe AJ forgot to go get help due to fans wanting to say hello and whatnot but at some point a girl came over to me and had given me a piece of paper and I kept it ended up being a drawn of the boys and AJ and Brian had signed it but later on the night I ended up losing it :\ and eventually help came over and I was just not all there yet and I kept asking for Leighanne and people were asking me why I wanted her and I just told them I feel comfortable around her and such but they weren’t able to get her but eventually my friends were there for me and I eventually calmed down due to getting fresh air and deep breathes and I told myself that I will never be going back into a crowd like that as long as I’m here for this cruise and events.
I was told that it was time to get ready for the dinner so I went back to my room and got ready for dinner and as I walked in I saw that the housekeeping as came in and made a animal out of towels and I saw the Backstreet Boys goodie bag we would be getting so I freaked out a bit and of course excited to see what was inside.

If your ducky was gold you would have been able to watch Backstreet Boys sound-check, I l knew I was hoping for too much there but I was happy with the gift bag but was hoping for something related to BSB cruise like a towel, water bottle or something that would have been cool!
I randomly somehow found my roommate so we ended up going to the dining room for dinner and we were seated up top with two other girls we ended up chatting with and having some good conversations and I remember eating shrimp and cheesecake I have no idea what my dinner plate was, ha-ha, as dessert was being served there was some dancing happening on the bottom floor and I saw AJ and Nick on the table dancing as well so I snapped some shots otherwise if I knew little before I would of set to video taped it (oh well) but it was fun to watch them get down and funky! ;)
I get dressed for the theme night which was International Luv night, I ended up just having to change into my shirt since it was pretty chilly outside I just put on my Avalanche hockey jersey which I loved rocking out too since it was pink and it’s my favorite color, I ended up finding a good spot in front of where the boys would be.
When I was shown that Nick and Howie was down by the bar I ended up making my way through the big crowd Nick and Howie ended up handing out shots and I was one of the lucky ones *giggle* I believe they were called lemon drops but not 100% sure. As the night went on and we all partied I have to admit that I loved seeing the boys have a great time as well.
Nick came out wearing a jacket to representing Japan, Brian and Leighanne came out all decked out for USA which they win for the contest if there was one, hands down! AJ came out wearing a kilt, and Howie was representing Puerto Rico.
Brian and Leighanne came down at one point so I tried to go over and wanted to take a photo or two but as that was happening I was pushed into the crowd and kept moving so I ended up being right by them so I snapped a few photo’s but I wanted out but I couldn’t get out per se since everyone was moving into one direction while I was trying to go the other so as we were walking I ended up just trying to kill time by talking to Kurt but he couldn’t talk much since he was helping guarding Leighanne and Brian but yeah they never came down for the crowd after that.
I was watching Brian up on the deck and at some point he finally saw me and goes “I see you” I’m like score ha-ha later on I saw AJ and Nick coming down for the bar on the other side so I headed over I didn’t get close enough this time but it was decent spot and they were handing out shots and I also got to see AJ’s underwear which was like whoa totally not expected, and of course AJ was talking about many things from what I could gather but I couldn’t follow through with most of it I’m guessing he was talking to fast or something but it was just fun to watch him be up there and having a good time.
Eventually the night ended and Brian and Leighanne ended up being the last ones to leave I believe which totally wasn’t expected but it was great to see Brian into the party since he never showed up for the after parties or anything like that.
All I know is after the party I have no idea what I did afterwards but I do know I went to bed at 4:00am.
