All I can say is wow. I enjoyed this concert a lot. I wasn't exactly close but I was still there to be a part of the audience. Let's see if I can make this short because usually my review's are LONG. Let's just say that I was decked out in BSB gear. I was on the news three times and radio twice.
Some people was getting off and then Brian got off and he was surrounded by 2 guards and then he stepped back and he looked at me and I yelled Brian Happy Birthday and he smiled and waved back at me. This guy kept coming out and telling us what was going on and this is exactly what he said. "Hello everyone, and welcome to the Backstreet Boys Black & Blue concert. We regret to inform you that. Kevin Richardson will not be attending the concert tonight. DIA (Denver International Airport) has been closed and Kevin has been on a plane for over 4 hours trying to get here. But, because of the fans in Denver, we are happy to inform you that Howie, AJ, Brian, and Nick will be performing tonight in a few minutes. He then went on to say that if you wanted a refund because of Kevin's absence, they would gladly give it to you. It looks like Kevin has bad luck with Denver, last year sprained his wrist by snowboarding and had to wear a sling the whole concert, and this one he couldn't even show up! 7:30 Krystal came on and sang 4 songs, she walked out with this huge cape on covering her head and everything else, she starting singing "My Religion" and when she got through the first verse and then she threw back the hood of her cape and the audience like gasped and then cheered. Then after that she talked about how it was someone's birthday and so we sang to Brian then she sang her song "Super girl" , then she mention that she was going to sign autographs after she sang her last song (I was on 2nd level so I didn't even bother) She was pretty good Then we waited for another 45 minutes until BSB came on.
The Concert:
Then second going on by the lights went out all you can see is black and blue and the blue was coming from the fans glow sticks. They had 11 dancers coming out They had like pyro and stuff (hard to explain). They popped up from the ground and starting doing all these cool dance moves and stuff not singing or anything it was pretty cool, and the 4 remaining BSB starting singing "Everyone" and they had black and blue shirts and trench coats and pants, Nick had these sunglasses on and He looked so hot! It was a great song to start off then they did into "Larger Than Life" they did the dance moves. Then they took a short break and we sang Brian Happy Birthday Brian was like Oh that's me and I don't have to sing right? He-he everyone we sang Happy Birthday to you and then Brian would go "to me" with a big grin on his face, he can always make me laugh. they sang "Shining Star" the whole arena was very dark and they was had line stars shooting out it was very pretty, they wore blue shirts, this song was so wonderful they can sing so great! The dance moves to this song was so awesome! Howie blew me a kiss with a peace sign. Then they sang "What Makes You Different (Makes You Beautiful") here they wore white suits, this song is so beautiful! I feel in love with it! Then they sang "Yes I Will" and this song I feel in love with the first day I heard it! They had these silver canes with glass ball on top, I thought it was so pretty and awesome. Then they sang "More Than That" A big pretty red flame came on the screen the next song they sang was "I Want It That Way" I love this song The next song was "Not For Me" I loved this song too, they did a great job.
They took a break and the band played the tune to "Quit Playing Games(With My Heart) and here I thought we was supposed to see the dressing room tape but couldn't because of Kevin but anyways, they floated out from under the stage and come onto the round stage and They all come out from the circle, and they Nick and AJ sat down by the fans and they was teasing the girls, and they sang " I'll Never Break Your Heart", How Did I Fall In Love With You" Then they did "Show me The Meaning Of Being Lonely" Then and this was very funny, we had these balloons and the fans was throwing them around and some fans was trying to throw it to Howie and he got it and he threw it back and then some fan threw it back at him and it hit him in the face, I felt so bad, I screamed "Are you Okay Howie" and he turned around and saw me and waved. Howie was just into the crowd playing with the balloons. Nick was walking around the little stage and he looked at me with my hat (it had blinking red lights that read BSB, he started laughing and smiled at me, he blew me kiss! Brian waved at me and smiled before leaving. Then they went into a little speech about how they wrote the next song, and they lowered the catwalk and Nick was first and they sang "Time" (fans here hold up candles, glow sticks, lighters. I burned my hand., They sang "If You Stay" from the booty call soundtrack. They went into the costume change and then blasted out of the ground again singing. "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" and the audience loved it. Then they did "The Answer To Our Life" I was in love with this song, I loved how they had this video showing all the problems in the world, the best part was when the ocean part came on Nick got on his knee and prayed to the ocean and kiss him necklace Then they all came out and talked about their different charities and all. Then they sang "Get Another Boyfriend" this is was a cool song for them to perform, I'm glad they picked it. They had a a costume change and the next cool thing was AJ came out and starting talking to us telling us that this was the last song and then his cell phone rang and he asked if we should answer it and stuff and it brought into the "The Call" they had rocking dance moves to this song, Then they bowed down and said their thanks and walked off the stage. Then us fans was screaming and telling them to come back out and they sang " Shape Of My Heart" and ,during this song Nick took this little girl and brought her up on stage and started rocking her, it was so adorable! During this song, Brian was signing his shirt for his charity and he threw in the crowd and he had a white tank top on (Ohhhh so sexy).
Awesome night, I was so happy to at least see the boys again!! =)
