First off I have to say if it wasn't for that ONE person who I will not say but who is from Live Daily and helped me it wouldn't be for that person for me to be able to see Brian I'm so grateful, so thank you!
I have to say it was definitely worth it yes even the 4 and ½ hour drive each way.
I'll star my review from Friday the 17th because yes I love doing detail review's
I left my house and ending up driving myself to the airport and parked at a parking lot to where my parent's could get my car later on that day. I arrived in KS about 7:25pm and I meet up with Gretchen and we just gave the biggest hug and went to get my bag and leave to head home. We went to her work to see if we could rent Car's but it was sold out and I met her friend Liz who was going with us then we left and went back to Gretchen's house, met her mom and dad then we sat down and dinner which was a fun night talking about a lot of thing's. We ended up not getting to bed about midnight or later, and we found out that our drive was longer than what Gretchen expected to be ha-ha!
We woke up on Saturday, Gretchen's mom cooked us breakfast which was nice of her we had toast, oatmeal. We both got ready and we were had a appointment at 11:!5 which we were late for but we still got in and we both did our eyebrow's waxed, Gretchen got her nails done, and I got my bangs trimmed. We ended up not leaving to get her friend until about 1pm and we hit the road. It sure was a long drive it seemed forever to get there, and it was amazing of what some thing's happened or what we saw while driving, getting chased by a van of guy's who probability did not speak any English, a truck had a hauling balls on his back of his truck, and we ate so much McDonald's that I cannot eat it for awhile! I kept telling Gretchen we should at least leave by 11 or 12 but I told her if we arrive late and miss Brian she will be in big trouble but lucky we arrived in time we got there about 6:30pm so that was good, I went and talked to the peeps from Live Daily and also saw that they had merchandise so later on I wanted to get a shirt which I am wearing as I type this.
It did not take a long time for Brian to get and perform which was cool.
The oddest thing was how the guy came on to introduce Brian and mentioning states that people traveled and he mentioned Denver first which totally shocked me I got up and screamed, well what can I say I was excited and proud to bed there. When Brian came on it was amazing yes a tad odd to just be seeing him on stage but it was still amazing I have to say. I recorded every song he sang and some were shaky and such due to my arm being SO tired.
Brian was being himself on stage which we all totally loved of course being the silly guy he is, making funny faces, goofing off I loved it all. I can't even put words into what he did it was just to much let's just say I could not stop laughing and I kept snorting a lot so embarrassing! I kept yelling stuff to Brian because I wanted to thank him for doing this show since last two times it got cancelled but therefore either he could not hear me, or I just can't yell to loud but people can hear around me ha-ha! One point the did hear me but I honestly cannot remember what happened afterwards I do know or think he did Donald duck
I cried during….. And I also held back my tears when Brian was talking about Leighanne and Sept 11th. Brian also told us some stories which was pretty funny jus the way he would tell it, he also told us about how he called his wife and got to hear his son say his prayer's telling us how he say his prayer's so adorable I just cannot say that enough. One point in the show he came down from the stage and went to say hello and talked to old couple few row's behind us and it was so funny and once the song was over Brian kept talking about them making jokes and apologizing it was to much.
He sang his song's from the album, plus I Want It That Way, As Long As You Love Me, Life Me Up, and Don't Take
Back The Girl, and chorus of One Last Cry and changing the word's *snorts*
As during the show he signed a CD booklet and so I have no idea what made me do it but I threw mine and it didn't land but a girl grabbed and held it for me which was nice of her.
Later on as people thought the show was over we all cheered for one more song and it was Over My Head and afterwards the show was over I started heading over to get my booklet and the girl said Brian was signing it so that was cool J and he started staying around to sign for fan's so I thought it would be the best time to get the CD booklet's signed for the person who helped me with this whole trip and I felt proud because if I didn't get them signed I would feel SO bad. Later on he started coming back towards me and I was waiting for Gretchen and I was like "Brian, Good show, I enjoyed it" He looked at me and shook my hand and said "Thank You" for some reason that moment was just the capture of my heart I tried to get Gretchen's signed but we couldn't to many people and the guy who was with Brian was being a complete jackass (and yes I could not stand him) well as I sat onto the stage to see maybe if he'll come by once more since he had to walk by us to leave but the guy kept pushing him and we just wanted a photo but he said he has to go and sorry and gave us a big smile. We left the place and went to go buy my shirt they didn't have any one's left from a 20 dollar bill so after a bit I just left without getting my change and we walked to the back to wait for Brian, and I have to say that was the LONGEST time of all of waiting because it was so cold but the Live Daily girls were all there and we decided to get a photo later on and we all hanged out waiting and before we knew it the guy came out got into the jeep and drove off and we ran towards the front of the venue and saw the jeep Brian was in the front and I KNOW that it was the guy's plan to have Brian leave the front instead >:o(
As the jeep drove off, we knew Brian was in there but not sure where exactly but next thing we saw was Brian leaning over waving good-bye to us, it was so cute and him in his beanie hat, so we waved back, a moment I know I won't forget and cherish forever I take what I can get, and then went to the car to start our long drive home which we didn't get home until 3:30am in the morning. *falls*
I went to bed about 4:30am and woke up about 9:30am and Gretchen and I went to I-Hop and then we drove to the airport and she stayed with me until I had to depart it was hard to leave I was having such a great time with Gretchen and I was enjoying my break away everything *sighs* I feel from this trip and all that we've gotten a lot closer and we're planning to meet up for another show in the future and she'll come hang out in Denver longer than last time!
